Justin was invited to give a masterclass at the DIY Trombone Workshop hosted by Julie Finke at UCONN’s Community School for the Arts.  Justin presented the topic “Sharing the gift of music for young students”. 

The topic was aimed to give some facts and guidelines that will help new or soon to be new teachers approach teaching young students (beginners or high school level).

The DIY Trombone Workshop is the brainchild of BU student and Trombonist, Julie Finke. Wanting to have a musical outlet during her summer home from college, Julie decided to invite fellow trombonists to a self-organizing workshop where they would present a performance, give a talk or master class, read ensemble music together, etc.
The idea is for interested musicians to propose topics/presentations for sessions and hope to achieve a sense of community around our instrument during the week.
What week you ask? June 10-14, 2013. All day each day. Post an idea and we'll fit it into the schedule!
